Otto Kuhler (1894-1977)
The scene depicted is the construction of the George Washington Bridge in New york. "Not far from where we lived, the great new George Washington Bridge across the Hudson to the New Jersey shore was slowly taking shape... This was steel at its very best, and I could not resist the opportunity of recording the bridge at its various stages of construction in a series of etching plates."
